Stream an HTTP Response

Dust HTTP client code showing byte and text response streams

Stream an HTTP response without turning it into a model first.

Declare Stream<List<int>> for bytes or Stream<String> for decoded text.

The image writes byte chunks to a file and reads text chunks as they arrive.

Dust generates the GET request and the streaming response path.

Byte streams yield Dio response-body chunks. Text streams decode those chunks with UTF-8.

These return shapes do not run custom model conversion or isolate decoding.

See HTTP response types and the product showcase client.
